“RUE MORGUE” FOUNDERS ANNOUNCES 1ST FILM
Set to begin filming this October, the movie, which will be shot in Toronto “in one of the city’s most unusual homes and best kept secrets,” was written and will be directed by Gudino. From the press release: “[T]he film centres on an antiques collector who inherits a house from his estranged mother only to discover that she had been living in a shrine devoted to a mysterious cult of angels. As night falls, he comes to suspect that his mother’s oppressive spirit still lingers within her home and is using items in the house – especially the statues of angels – to contact him with an urgent message. “
Gudino intends to follow Testament with his long-mooted remake of the violent ’70s Western Cut Throats Nine, to which Mads Mikkelsen, Harvey Keitel and Canadian actor Roy Dupuis have been attached.
