THE REVOLTING COCKS SING AND SPEAK!

The Dark Lord Bunnykins had the privilege of speaking with Revolting Cocks guitarist Sin Quirin last night prior to their, shall we say, rambunctious show at Toronto’s Reverb club.

As for the show, let all doubters who thought that RevCo wasn’t really RevCo without Buck Satan (a.k.a Al Jourgenson) hereby cease and desist with their hating. After all, both Ministry and RevCo have had revolving doors, with countless members passing through their ranks. More than a band, RevCo embodies a spirit, a sense of humour, and the current incarnation — Sin Quirin on guitar, Vancouver native Josh Bradford on vocals, Calgary’s Clayton Worbeck on keys, as well as bassist Murv Douglas and drummer Aaron Rossi — did ample justice to newer songs like ‘Cousins’ (see video below) and ‘Red Parrot’, as well as classics like ‘Stainless Steel Providers’, ‘Crackin’ Up’ and ‘(Let’s Get) Physical’. Bradford is an especially entertaining front man, racing about the stage, encouraging group masturbation, and apologizing to the hot girl he had obviously targetted for post-show fun for having stage dick. Oh, and, yes, he can sing. Wisely, Bradford’s bandmates let him run amuck.

By the time RevCo 2009 returned for the encore, any lingering audience desire that Jourgenson would magically appear evaporated as the band powered confidently through ‘I’m Not Gay’, ‘Beers, Steers & Queers’ and ‘Do You Think I’m Sexy’, proving that RevCo is alive and well and in need of a good handjob.

Wished you had witnessed the carnal carnage? Check out their rendition of the incest dittie ‘Cousins’ below:
