Rue Morgue Magazine‘s monthly movie night happens again this evening, with the Charles Kaufman camp classic Mother’s Day (1980) screening at 9:30 at The Bloor Cinema. Mother’s Day, the tale of two backwoods brothers who torment a trio of city girls at the behest of their momma, was reviled in its time for its exploitative nudity and violence, and we can’t blame the protestors as the sleaze is pretty thick. Feel free to bring your own bar of soap.
